Imagine a road trip in Israel…for college credit. Tiyul B’Aretz is reinventing study abroad in Israel by giving students an educational experience that goes beyond the classroom walls. On Tiyul B’Aretz there is no campus, no classrooms, and no dorms or dining halls. This is learning on the road. Students spend the semester traveling to different regions and living in various communities, gaining a more hands-on and intimate experience of Israel than they ever could on a traditional study abroad program. July 15 – August 23, 2012 The Eco-Israel summer session is a six-week intensive learning opportunity in sustainability on the Hava & Adam Eco-Educational farm in central Israel. From July 15 to August 23rd students will have the opportunity to learn about the key elements of sustainability such as the ethics of sustainability, observation, soil, water, compost and urban ecology. The curriculum includes work on the hava (farm) getting hands on experience in these aspects of sustainable living. Visit the new Eco-Israel website to download an application today.

A program of Hazon’s friends. Eco-Israel, a 5-month residential learning program of Hava & Adam Eco-Educational farm, offers young people ages 18-30 the opportunity to immerse themselves in sustainable living. During the program, students live closer to nature, spend a lot of time outside and learn about plants, soil, compost and so much more. They live as part of a community and learn how the principles and patterns that operate in nature also apply to social situations.
