[Cross-USA Ride] Participant Email April 11

Happy Passover. We have eight weeks to go! Have you been cycling? Fundraising? Make sure to take the time to get to know your bicycle if you haven’t yet already and send out those emails to potential supporters. We hope that you will keep everyone at home updated about your trip. Hazon Cross-USA Ride For those starting in Seattle, it is only nine weeks until we start orientation and begin our journey. This week, we are mailing you a Ride Guide, full of information you need to ensure that you have a fun experience on the ride. Sections include: About Hazon: what projects your fundraising dollars will support Life on the Ride: the ride community, Shabbat, accommodations, and food Gear and Packing: travel details, packing list, and bike suggestions Fundraising Tools: who, how, and what to ask potential donors Training Tips: how to make sure you are ready to ride Information from the Ride Guide will also be available on our website, but you can always be in touch with us if you have any questions. Countdown: Three months to go! The Cross-USA Ride community is growing, and we’re now a team of 28 riders. As someone who signed up for this amazing ride, we know how you would love to have a friend on the ride with you. Talk about this ride! Tell everyone you meet! Talk to your rabbi to see if you can speak about it at your synagogue. Tell your colleagues, teachers, and fellow bike enthusiasts about the trip. You never know who might be excited to sign up for this ride! We have posters available to download that you can print out and post in your community. We can also mail you some oversized ones. If you are a part of a listserv, Yahoo group, Google group, or have access to an e-newsletter, pleaseemail Wendy and we will send you an materials to send across those outlets. Vote for Hazon in Citgo’s Fueling Good Summer Charity Contest

Citgo wants to know “How far can a gallon of gas go?” We’re hoping to take it across the United States in support of our cyclists. Every Hazon ride provides extensive support to its cyclists. This means transporting people and gear in cars and trucks. The cost of fuel is rising and that raises the costs of running a Hazon ride.
