EcoJews of the Bay visits Aaron Metals Recycling Company

 Saturday, September 24, 2011

Ever wonder what happens to those aluminum cans of soda you love or the copper wire that delivers electricity to your home?

For this event, EcoJews of the Bay will tour a local recycling company. We’ll learn how Judaism inspires us to reduce, reuse and recycle. Take home “new to you” books, CDs or DVDs!

We’ll meet at the Coliseum BART station at 10:30, where a shuttle will take us to Aaron Metals in Oakland. Refreshments will be served and we will hear from the management of Aaron Metals, which will include inspiring words on Judaism and Recycling. We’ll tour the Oakland facility and then take the shuttle to Aaron Metals Hayward, where the tour of the the recycling operation will continue. In addition, we will see an industrial bioswale and stormwater recovery system.

MEDIA SWAP: Please bring good quality books, DVDs and CDs to swap with fellow EcoJews!
