We Are One: An Environmental Justice Tu B’Shvat Seder

Jan 16, 2022 - 8:00 pm EST - 9:00 pm EST

Sunday, January 16 at 8:00pm ET

Join us for a virtual environmental justice Tu B’Shvat Seder and meet the new Hazon on a journey through the global network of environmental Judaism. For thousands of years Tu B’Shvat has marked the new year for the trees as the sap of almond trees begins to rise in the land of Israel. Today, we embrace this time as a day of renewal and celebration for the Jewish environmental movement embracing environmental justice as a crucial component of a healthier just world for all.

This year Tu B’Shvat falls on Martin Luther King Jr. Day – a reminder that the fight against the climate crisis must also be a fight for climate justice. Our gathering together will be an evening of spiritual renewal and inspiration led by Rabbi Isaiah Rothstein of Jewish Federations of North America along with the farmers and educators of Adamah farm and Pearlstone Center, the community of Hakhel, and the activists of the Jewish Youth Climate Movement. You are invited to join us on Sunday January 16 at 8:00pm.

We encourage you to make your own seder at home, during the virtual seder. We have three ways to help you make a seder at home.
