Farm to Table Food Fest

Oct 18, 2015 - 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Oshman Family JCC, Palo Alto, CA

presented in partnership with the Oshman Family JCC

This was a great event! Wow, hard to decide what was the biggest highlight and where I learned the most – sustainable sushi-making and challah braiding and listening to Charlie Ayers!

We would like to thank the Oshman Family JCC, our community partners, vendors and sponsors (tabs below) and everyone who attended this year’s Food Festival for making it a fun-filled afternoon of learning and hands-on doing for the whole family!

In celebration of the Jewish Food Movement, this year's festival featured local, accessible, healthful food; crafted by people who are treated fairly, and grown or produced in a way that promotes a healthy, sustainable, and diverse environment.

Highlights included:

  • interactive cooking demos and workshops led by local chefs and food experts
  • locally made and delicious food and beverages
  • booths and projects showcasing area organizations working for food justice
  •  family friendly activities like butter making, challah, braiding, art, gardening projects and more!
